Application for PhD Studentship under the DELTAS Africa Learning Research Programme


The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) in partnership and Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AESA), are calling for applications for the PhD Studentship offered under the DELTAS Africa Learning Research Programme.

The DELTAS Learning Research Programme (LRP) is co-funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Department for International Development (DFID), and implemented by Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) in partnership with the Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AESA).

The overarching aim of this learning programme is to produce robust research on cross cutting themes from the DELTAS Africa initiative’s approach to accelerating research excellence in Africa.
The LSTM-LRP programme leaders now invite suitable African candidates to apply for PhD studentships under the thematic topics:

  • Examining barriers and enablers to health research uptake in an African context.
  • Examining barriers and enablers to gender equitable scientific career pathways in African research institutions.
