In Research Methods and Academic Career Development

University of Stellenbosch

Over 150 delegates, hailing from all across Africa visited Stellenbosch University to participate in the African Doctoral Academy’s bi-annual learning experience. The academy offered twelve one-week courses, six of which had never presented before at our Doctoral Schools.

Next year’s Summer School is just around the corner and the aim is to exceed the standards set during 2015. The training programmes will be offered from 11 – 22 January and applicable to current or aspiring doctoral candidates, postdoctoral fellows as well as researchers or supervisors across all disciplines. The academy strives to provide training at both the basic and advanced skill levels with a strong focus on encouraging transdisciplinarity through our collaborations with different bodies at Stellenbosch University and beyond.
